«It is a tragic day in Mynamar. Today at least 25 victims of military repression against demonstrators, including passers-by, street vendors, a pregnant woman. The world must stop the violence of the military immediately. Where is Aung San Suu Kyi? Where is she relegated? Under what conditions? The generals must say it, they cannot be silent». These are the words written by Sen. Albertina Soliani, formerly President of the Parliamentary Association “Friends of Burma”, for years in close friendship with Aung San Suu Kyi and her people.

«The Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was in Yangon, saw the demonstrations and declared: “We must resolve this issue within the month”. Today is the last day of the month, and the military have started shooting at eye level.

There is only one way to resolve the issue, General Min Aung Hlaing: the Tatmadaw must go back to their barracks.

The international community can do much more besides its condemnation statements. It must act now. The United States, the EU, China, Japan and many other Countries know that in Myanmar their credibility is decided today: everything is dealt through politics, thus moving forward, whilst everything becomes complicated and plummets into the past through weapons. A sign from protesters reads: “We do not have time to read your useless and pathetic declarations as our people are being murdered by military terrorists and policemen in Myanmar.”

There is the court of history for the responsibilities of those who violate every right and despise the will of the people, in pursuit of their exclusive personal, economic and power interests. The military of the coup should remember that they will have to respond to this court soon. Everything can be saved through the political negotiations: the fate of the people and the fate of the Tatmadaw».
